Saturday, November 5, 2011:  LECNY-NYSAFLT REGIONAL MEETING

Picture

This event, co-sponsored by LECNY and NYSAFLT, is our biggest event.  You hear a keynote address on language education before heading off to breakout workshops and target-language immersion sessions.  There is a small group of exhibitors that show off their products related to language teaching and culture.  You can purchase items for your classroom, as gifts or plan for your upcoming department budget.  There is ample time to network with other language educators during brunch.  During the meeting, the Friend of Foreign Language award is presented to a group or organization that promotes language and culture.  NYSAFLT's James E. Allen Award for the outstanding Syracuse area LOTE department is also awarded.  Three hours of professional development will be earned, if you attend the whole meeting.
November 5, 2011 - 8:00 - 1:30 PM Rosamond Gifford Zoo Syracuse, NY
