The LECNY Student Scholarship is available to any outstanding graduating senior whose nominating teacher is a current LECNY member in good standing. Applications can be accessed by clicking here.

LECNY is now assisting the CNY Community Foundation with the administration of the newly created Henry C. and Dorothy R. Shoudy Memorial Scholarship, which is valued at an estimated $3500. Only students in the Syracuse City School District may apply for that scholarship. Both applications are attached to this email. Applications can be accessed by clicking here.

The deadline for both applications is April 1, 2010.

The Central New York Chapter of the AATF is sponsoring a Josée Vachon Concert on Sat. March 27th. The concert is a fundraiser for Haiti and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Partners in Health for Haiti Earthquake Relief. Language teachers are asked to bring their students to this concert which will be held at Baker High School in Baldwinsville, NY. We are trying to fill a 1,000 seat auditorium. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased from AATF of CNY Treasurer, Georgette Schmidt.
