Saturday, February 4, 2012 marks our annual, traditional first Saturday in February when we hold our SUPER/LECNY Conference. This year’s theme “Quick Takes 4” will feature several mini‐workshops covering a range of levels and diverse topics. Go back to school on Monday with many new ideas! Come enjoy a morning of camaraderie, professional development, and exchange of ideas. Join us for an informal lunch to socialize and share with colleagues. We will also have our LECNY Flea Market, where you’ll find all sorts of goodies for your classroom at very low prices, so be sure  
                                                        to bring some cash! There will be a raffle right before lunch as well.                                                  
                                                  $10 LECNY members
                                                   $15 Non‐members
                                                   $5 Students/Pre‐service Teachers
Registration includes breakfast, workshops and lunch. A three‐hour‐in‐service credit form will be available before lunch. The registration deadline is

WHAT IS LECNY?

LECNY is a professional organization made up of language teachers Pre-K-16, administrators, and
 post-secondary students within the seven New York counties of Cayuga, 
Cortland, Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, and Oswego.  We strive to fulfill a number of initiatives including:
  • Promoting the study of languages and cultures as outlined in the state and national standards. 
  • Serving all areas of language study including the Classics, Heritage languages, English to speakers of other languages, bilingual education, Native American languages and American Sign Language.
  • Serving as a liaison to other professional and educational organizations
  • Establishing constructive and progressive relationships with other professional organizations.
